Hangzhou, West Lake and Xixi Wetlands Park
The West Lake is the scenic highlight of Hangzhou. These pictures are taken along Su Di, a causeway across the lake built about 1000 years ago. 
Because of preparations for the fireworks display we weren't able to take a boat on the lake. Instead we went for a boat ride at the Xixi wetlands park a few miles away. 
Besides the wetlands themselves, the park contains several exhibits, including a reconstruction of the Hong villa, ancestral house of an important political family from the area.
